Wedding in The south Of France

From the moment you arrive at Château du Puits es Pratx in the Aude, the setting is striking: endless vineyards, a sun-drenched courtyard, the gentle sound of a fountain, and that feeling of being somewhere out of time.

This château, featured in the British TV show “Chateau DIY,” has become a symbol of French charm and creative adventure, attracting couples from all over Europe who dream of a unique wedding in the South of France. Jodie and Matthiew chose this place for its singular character, its warm, family-home spirit, and the promise of a weekend apart, surrounded by those who matter most.

In the morning, sunlight filters into the château’s rooms, accompanying laughter, shared glances, and the gentle bustle of preparations. In the gardens, the ceremony comes to life beneath the trees: whispered vows, laughter and tears mingling with the golden light of southern France. As a wedding photographer here, I strive to capture the spontaneity, tenderness, and magic of every moment, in a setting that is both authentic and welcoming.

Under the fairy lights, dinner brings everyone together around long tables, wild bouquets, and the clinking of glasses, in a festive, village-like atmosphere. When the music rises in the old wine cellar, the dance floor comes alive, generations mix, and the night stretches on in joy and complicity.
