Wedding at Escape at the chateau
There are places that seem tailor-made for fantasy, and the Château de la Motte-Husson, made famous by Escape to the Chateau, a British reality TV show, is a perfect example. Dick and Angel, the château's hosts and the stars of the series, were present throughout the day, adding their touch of humour and kindness to the already warm atmosphere.
In the spring, Liana and Patrick, both from England, chose this unique setting to celebrate their wedding, surrounded by friends and family who came to share a day that reflected their personalities: relaxed, festive, and delightfully eccentric.
The secular ceremony was held on the steps of the château, under a gentle sky, with the turrets, moats and fantastical creatures that inhabit the grounds as a backdrop: giraffes, unicorns and other surprises straight out of Angel's imagination. French elegance mingled with English eccentricity, down to the smallest details.
The bride and groom had opted for classic outfits at the start of the day, but the bride's disco ball bouquet already hinted at what was to come. As the evening progressed, Liana's dress was transformed into a veritable sculpture of light, each facet reflecting the lights and energy of the party.
Surrounded by friends and family, the atmosphere was joyful, intimate and full of surprises, just like the interior of the castle: a delightful blend of elegance, fantasy and conviviality.
Photographing this wedding meant capturing the light on the old stones, on the dress, on the faces; it meant capturing the camaraderie of a group that is not afraid to have fun, to let themselves be carried away by the moment, and to make every moment a celebration.
